She:kon everyone! Welcome to our new Full Day Kindergarten page of the Quinte Mohawk School website!  Full Day Kindergarten is known as FDK around the province of Ontario and it is a two year program full of fun and learning for children beginning at age 4.  It is our hope to add pictures and other information to keep you involved and informed about our FDK program.  Our programs aim to be play-based in nature while giving the children the skills they need to succeed in education and in life.

“Play is the finest system of education known to mankind”  (Neville Scarfe, as cited in Primarily Play, ETFO,2011)

The month of October has been very busy and lots of fun and learning in Kindergarten.  We had an amazing trip to Crickle Wood apple orchard.  Thank you to all the parent volunteers that helped make this trip a fun, learning experience for our students.

Our Quinte Mohawk school Harvest Festival was educational and exciting.  We made a class scarecrow, fresh apple juice from our apples , a craft using popcorn , went social dancing in the gym and to top it all off we had a yummy turkey dinner!
