For several years now, QMS has partnered with Kiwanis International to help promote and encourage personal development, leadership, and community service among our students.
Builders Club is a student led service club sponsored by Kiwanis International, a world-wide service organization of men and women working to help children develop their leadership skills. QMS Builders Club is composed of male and female students, dedicated to school and community service. Our student members participate in various programs and activities that contribute to an enhanced learning experience, allowing them to discover their own leadership potential and opportunities for growth.
In recent years, we have also been partnering with Free the Children, “an international charity and educational partner that believes in a world where all children are free to achieve their fullest potential as agents of change”. Free the Children works “domestically through We Day and We Act to educate, engage and empower youth to become active local and global citizens”. Through their “holistic and sustainable development model” they “work to remove barriers to education and to empower communities to break the cycle of poverty”. Free The Children’s mission is to “create a world where all young people are free to achieve their fullest potential as agents of change” and Quinte Mohawk School Builders Club is proud to be a part of this movement!
